No one is perfect. I think we can all agree that this is true. But sometimes we treat ourselves as though we must be perfect in order to receive love. This quote by Marc Hack is a good reminder about the natural flaws in us all, and how despite these inevitable imperfections, we still deserve another person’s love. Our insecurities sometimes tempts us to be someone we’re not and to bury the parts of ourselves that may seem undesirable. But, in reality, it is in these messy and faulty details that makes us the lovable humans that we are.
The first step is allowing our mental and physical blemishes out of hiding. The second step is to allow ourselves, along with these blemishes, to be loved. For once our whole selves are allowed the warmth and light of love from another, the glitches and deficiencies we thought we had will begin to fade away into quirks and eventually become our most notable and lovable features.Image Source: neurolove.me
